This ain’t satire.

Maybe you’ve outed your belief a bit too strongly towards people, so that every person, who did have something abnormal happen, stays quiet to you about their experience.

i’ve got someone at my work, completely sure that everyone who experienced something weird is just not thinking straight. At one point he confronted me; “if all those people you meet in the train with their stories, if these are legit, why then isn’t there anyone on our 30 ppl department with something weird”. Half a year later i reminded him of his firm statement, and when he remembered, he said "well, at least it isn’t <…> " (being the most analytical developer on our department). But that developer was actually one of the two people on our department with an interesting story. i firmly believe all those people would not share their experience with someone, knowing they would be laughed at.
