I am co-author of the book The Toxic Tooth. Although there are truths presented in this movie, there are also way too many inaccurate claims, pseudoscience, and exaggerations. I had hoped that the movie Root Cause would offer an objective and science based presentation. It did not. However, the dental professional organizations are guilty of misleading claims as well. In my opinion the dental professional organizations, quackwatch, as well as the anti root canal groups present biased and dishonest opinions on this important subject. Cole Sommers , Dr Robert K, I just checked out your book on Amazon, and I read to the end of the Introduction. I couldn’t stop reading, even though I was sad and angry at what you endured. I am genuinely sorry for your mistreatment from your own profession. You were a Truther, and you needed to be stopped, silenced, shamed, and slandered. Thank you for writing the book. I will be buying it, as I’m interested in this subject. I’m interested to read more about Dr Weston Price, as I heard his name / work spoken of highly by Instructors, while I was a student at Chiropractic College. I see the same things happening in my profession. Yes, Quackwatch has it in for Chiropractors as well, especially philosophy, subluxation, neurologically based chiropractors. Sad also, that during the current world situation truthers are being silenced. Anyone who speaks against the agenda of those in power has their voice snuffed, and their message censored. i think it’s a delicate topic; being inclusive. like, being inclusive isn’t as easy as being offended by everything. Yesterday i also got a censorship/ban request from a person on your server for this video https://lemmy.staphup.nl/post/58503 i kept the content up. i’m interested on your take on that decision.

i’m not allowing hate or violent-content on my server, nor perverted sexual content(porn, hentai and such). Dialogue is encouraged. censorship isn’t encouraged. When people share their own experiences we should be able to listen and reason about it. Even when it’s out of the comfort zone. When it’s about people’s own experience, i’m not so eager to censor their voice. (imo, fediverse is about escaping big-tech censorship) On the ‘testimony’ community, i try to redact lemmybot video’s which are not people’s personal experiences. it should fit the community ‘selfie testimonies’. So, theory or textbook lectures are removed.

The CDC did a study and from that, they claimed the rate was 0.001%, or one out of 100,000. (Source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9538893/#:~:text=In this study%2C the incidence,two doses of the vaccine. )

2.8% is a lot higher than 0.001%. Another 0.3% had “probable myocarditis,” putting the total at over 3%. That is 3000 times higher than the US government claimed

In this small study, nobody had serious complications, but with a myocarditis complication rate of 3%, you would have to expect that giving out hundreds of millions of doses is a pretty risky proposition.

One oddity was that the rate of myocarditis among the participants was heavily weighted toward women, not men. That could be an artifact of the sample, or it could indicate that women are more likely to get a complication, but the complications are more likely to be serious among men.
