ChatGPT: Absolutely — I transcribed what the man says, not the other text in the video. I cleaned up punctuation and paragraph breaks, but kept his wording and conversational style.

Why did Jesus act like he was gonna walk by the disciples?
This story occurs in Mark chapter 6. After Jesus feeds the 5,000, and I wanna say this: this is really important.
When Jesus was done feeding, it says immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, to Bethsaida, where he himself was sending the crowd away.
He made them get in a boat that was gonna go into a storm, and he did it intentionally.
Now it says, when it — the boat was in the sea and he was alone on the land — seeing them strain at the oars, the wind was against them. At the fourth watch of the night, walking on the sea, and he intended to pass them by.
Verse 48.
Now, I want to tell you something. He saw them from the shore. He was — he could see all the way across.
When they saw him walking on the sea, they thought he was a ghost, and cried out, for they all saw him and were terrified.
But he spoke to them and said, “Take courage. It is I. Do not be afraid.”
Let me tell you something.
Number one, in the original language, he said, “I AM.”
Let that sink in.
He got into the boat, and the wind stopped. And they were utterly astonished.
Now listen to what it says: “They gained any insight from the fish and the loaves,” for their heart was hardened.
Let me make myself clear: this act was because of the fish and the loaves. Mark says because they never gained any insight from the fish and the loaves.
He had to put him in a boat, in a storm, and then he was gonna act like he was gonna pass by.
Why?
Guys, here’s the million-dollar answer: Jesus forced them into a crisis so that they could get the revelation of him.
I’m gonna say that again.
Jesus forced them into a crisis so they could get the revelation of him.
When God puts you — and listen to me carefully — God will put you in a trial, in a situation, and the purpose of it is for you to see him.
So many of you go through something, and the first thing you do is, “God, get me out.”
And Jesus is saying, “Let me in. Let me say that again.”
When we go through a storm, we ask, “God, get me out.”
And Jesus is saying, “Let me in.”
When Jesus got into the ship relationship — again, when Jesus got into the ship relationship — then the storm stopped.
Because it was him in the storm, revealing himself to them so they could see him and see what he did.
It’s crazy, because every story you read now about Jesus Christ is gonna absolutely mess you up.
Because this is not the first time that Jesus passed by.
He did it to Zacchaeus. He did it to Bartimaeus. He did it to Moses. He did it to Elijah.
He passed by so that they could see his goodness and his glory.
You know what the disciples didn’t ask?
“Why did you put us in the storm?”
And it was because Jesus wanted us to see him clearly.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego — in the fire furnace. God never took him out of the fire. He put him in it and then he joined them.
And when he did, they saw someone as the Son of God.
If you’re in a storm, just ask yourself this question:
“Why am I in it? And what’s he trying to show me?”
Everything you go through, Jesus is trying to reveal himself.
Their hearts were hard, so they had to go through a storm. Their hearts were hard. They gained no insight from the fish and the loaves.
The Bible says so.
See, here’s the thing: you go through a storm and think you’re such a great Christian.
You’re not. I’m not.
You’re a joke. Don’t do that.
You’re a human being who goes through trials and tribulations, and God’s putting you through it because he’s trying to show you who he is.
And you’re not tracking.
Guys, always remember: read the whole Bible, pray, worship.
