John Stroup shares his journey from being a drug-addicted homeless man to becoming the executive director of Freeway Ministries. Freeway Ministries focuses on reaching the hardest-to-reach individuals struggling with addiction, crime, and poverty. John’s childhood was marked by a broken family and exposure to a criminal culture. Rock bottom for John came when he was in prison, where he found a Bible and discovered the transformative power of Jesus. He went on to dedicate his life to helping others overcome addiction and find hope in Christ.
