Celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D has officially become a Christian, just a year after she publicly renounced witchcraft and the occult TV star and tattoo artist Kat Von D has become a Christian, a year after she officially renounced witchcraft.

The Mexican-American, who is known for her work on the reality show LA Ink, posted a poignant video of her being baptised.

The former owner of eponymous beauty brand Kat Von D wore a white robe as she was dunked by her pastor who said: “Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in obedience to His Divine command, I baptise you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Kat Von D was then immersed in water before hugging her pastor. About a year ago she publicly announced she would be throwing out her books about witchcraft and the macabre — and would make a number of lifestyle changes. She said the material no longer aligned with who she wanted to be. Her former beauty brand was widely known for its black lipstick named “Witches” and a wallet made in the design of a coffin. “I don’t know if any of you have been going through changes in your lives right now, but in the last few years I’ve come to some pretty meaningful realisations — many of them revolving around the fact that I got a lot of things wrong in my past,” she wrote on Instagram. Today, I went through my entire library, and threw out books that just don’t align with who I am and who I want to be.

“I’ve always found beauty in the macabre, but at this point, I just had to ask myself what is my relationship with this content? And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves.”

In recent times she has shared photos of her family attending church after moving to Indiana.

“Right now, it’s never been more clear to me that there is a spiritual battle taking place, and I want to surround myself and my family with love and light,” she wrote
