Augustine grew up in a Muslim family in West Africa during 14 years of civil war, then came to America at 16. At a party, someone fired shots and a US Marine was hit. Augustine says he didn’t do it, but he was charged and faced up to 45 years. In jail, his mother told him a prophet said Jesus would manifest to him, and she said, “Son, we’re going to need Jesus on this one.”
He began reading a Bible in his cell. Augustine says Jesus appeared to him there, with the nail marks in His hands, and that the Holy Spirit and the archangel Michael then taught him the Bible. He was released after three months, and the man who actually did the shooting later pleaded guilty.
