For 12 years, Cheryl Beland lived with CRPS—Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, a condition with no known cure that is often nicknamed the “suicide disease.” Doctors eventually told her there was nothing more they could do. Today, Cheryl says God has completely healed her.

Cheryl describes the pain as feeling like gasoline was poured into her veins and set on fire—a relentless combination of burning, crushing and electrical shocks that began after routine wrist surgery. Years of treatment, medication and ketamine procedures followed. At her lowest point, overwhelmed by pain and depression, Cheryl began planning to end her life.

In this episode, Cheryl shares the full journey: the childhood trauma that shaped her, her search for relief through New Age practices, her return to Jesus and the gradual transformation that followed. With support from a chronic-pain program, she began tapering off medication, renewing her mind through Scripture and confronting the fear, unforgiveness and spiritual compromises that had kept her trapped. Eventually, Cheryl says she knew without a shadow of a doubt that the pain was gone.

This is a testimony about chronic pain, depression, faith, healing and the fight to recover hope when your circumstances tell you nothing will ever change.
