Christian missionaries Russell & Gerrie Chadwick share a miracle testimony from the Rhodesian Bush War in Zimbabwe: thousands of rounds fired at a farmhouse, but only one bullet hit.

Russell and Gerrie Chadwick were a young missionary couple in their early twenties when they moved into war-torn Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, with a toddler in the backseat and another baby on the way.

They went where others would not go.

During the Rhodesian Bush War, farms were isolated, roads were dangerous, landmines were a real threat, and families often travelled in convoys. One night, while Russell and Gerrie were staying at a remote farmhouse, a gang of armed attackers opened fire.

They shot through the perimeter fence. They shredded the plants around the house. The ground was covered in spent shells. The sky lit up from gunfire.

And yet, after thousands of rounds, only one bullet hit the house.

They also share the testimony of a woman who was unknowingly protected by an angel while a terrorist waited outside the fence to kill her, a family whose bullet-riddled vehicle arrived at their Christian coffee shop with everyone unharmed, Gerrie’s vision of Christians praising God inside a furnace, and the story of a falsely imprisoned pastor whose time in prison led to hundreds of inmates coming to Christ.

This is not a light conversation. It is a conversation about danger, obedience, persecution, fear, death, eternity, and the grace of God.
