Did Christians misunderstand Genesis?

In this second conversation with astrophysicist Dr. Hugh Ross, we tackle some of the biggest questions Christians and skeptics ask about creation, dinosaurs, Adam and Eve, Noah’s Flood, Neanderthals, and the Big Bang.

Most believers were taught that Genesis describes six 24-hour days. Most scientists were taught that the Bible has nothing meaningful to say about the origin of the universe.

Dr. Ross argues that both assumptions may miss what the text is actually saying.

In this interview, we discuss:

• Does Genesis 1 describe the Big Bang? • What does the Hebrew word for “day” actually mean? • Are we still living in God’s seventh day? • Did dinosaurs exist before Adam and Eve? • Where was the Garden of Eden—and why is it now underwater? • How does Noah’s Flood fit with the Ice Age? • Did humans live alongside Neanderthals? • Why does Genesis seem to conflict with modern science?

Whether you agree with Dr. Ross or strongly disagree, this conversation will challenge how you read the opening chapters of the Bible.
