When Miracles Are Real and Heartbreak Is Real Too — Pastor Marty’s Honest Answer

A man had no pulse. No breath. No sign of life. Pastor Marty Nystrom knelt beside him behind a Calgary church, laid a hand on his chest, and prayed. Moments later, the man’s heart began to race. He came back to life. A week later, he returned with four unforgettable words: “Show me where I died.”

But that miracle raises a question that has troubled Christians for generations: 👉If God still heals, why do some people still die? 👉Why do some receive miracles while others don’t? 👉Why do faithful Christians pray for healing and watch their loved ones slip away?

In this powerful and deeply honest conversation, Pastor Marty and Jan wrestle with the hardest questions surrounding healing, faith, loss, unbelief, God’s will, and the mysteries that many Christians are afraid to discuss.

Pastor Marty Nystrom is the founder of Raise Ministries International and has spent decades praying for the sick and training believers in healing ministry throughout Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and beyond. He has witnessed remarkable healings, impossible recoveries, and moments that defy explanation. Yet he openly admits there are questions he still cannot fully answer.

This is not a conversation filled with easy clichés.

It’s a conversation about what happens when miracles are real… and heartbreak is real too.

If you’ve ever prayed for healing, lost someone you loved, struggled with unanswered prayers, or wondered why God seems to heal one person and not another, this interview is for you.
