In this powerful interview, Tanya shares the terrifying Near Death Experience that she says completely changed her life.

In 1998, Tanya says someone she knew put something into a marijuana joint. After one hit, she felt her soul leaving her body through her feet. Her sister walked in, and Tanya told her:

“Call 911. I’m going to die.”

Then everything went black.

Tanya says she entered a darkness unlike anything on earth. It was a terrifying void of absolute blackness, filled with fear, evil, and agonizing sounds.

She says she could not remember God, heaven, or even the name of Jesus.

All she could do was beg to get out.

Then a loud voice confronted her about bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, and pain. At one point, a tiny light appeared—like a needle hole breaking through the darkness.

Then she heard:

“Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.”

That sound reminded her of her grandmother, who used to pray and say the name of Jesus when Tanya was a child.

Then Tanya says God told her:

“I’m going to give you one more chance. You have to change your ways. You have to learn to forgive.”

Tanya believes she may have been in the depths of hell, or at least a terrifying place of separation from God. She says it felt like she was there for a long time, possibly over the course of two days on and off.

When she came back, her heart rate jumped to 213 beats per minute. She later spent time in the hospital and psychiatric care because of the panic and trauma from what she experienced.

But the story did not end there.

After the NDE, Tanya says she knew she needed God. She walked into a small Baptist church, tried to leave during a panic attack, but says the second set of doors would not open no matter how hard she pushed.

Later, Tanya says God continued leading her through healing, church, the Holy Spirit, prayer, forgiveness, and restoration.
