A successful banker with two master’s degrees, Cheryl left the Catholic faith as a teenager and dove into Reiki healing, channeling spirits, law of attraction, manifestation, and crystals. An ayahuasca ceremony in Peru introduced her to a “spirit guide” — a serpent called Mother — who healed her voice in exchange for teaching New Age to thousands. Then her life collapsed: depression, facial paralysis, and voices commanding her to hurt herself.
One prayer for the gifts of the Holy Spirit changed everything. Words that were not hers came out of her mouth: “Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.” What followed was 11 days of spiritual warfare, a deliverance where the demon named itself Lucifer, a month in a psych ward — and a calling to set the captives free.
