While living in France, he prayed, “God, whoever You are, show me the truth,” and two days later became convinced that Jesus Christ was more than a prophet. He began reading the Bible, gave his life to Christ, and was baptized, but his decision came at a painful cost when his family rejected him, blocked him, and accused him of bringing shame upon them.
