In this powerful interview, Anthony Rietberg shares the extraordinary encounter that he says forever changed his understanding of eternity.

At just 15 years old, after hearing his father explain Jesus’ words, “You must be born again,” Anthony prayed the only prayers he knew. Moments later, he says he left his body.

He describes floating through his house before suddenly falling through a dark tunnel into what he believes was the entrance to hell.

Anthony says he found himself in a massive cavern standing before terrifying doors leading into eternity. A demonic creature reached for him, attempting to pull him inside.

Then he cried out one name:

“Jesus!”

In an instant, everything changed.

Anthony says he was suddenly standing on the edge of the New Jerusalem with his hand resting on a glowing golden wall. There, Jesus told him:

“I prepared this place for you.”

He says Jesus showed him the magnificent heavenly city, explained that one day it would descend to the new earth, and even revealed parts of Anthony’s future—including trials, mistakes, ministry, and God’s calling on his life.

Although Anthony begged to stay, Jesus told him it was not yet time.

Years later, after wandering away from God for 17 years, Anthony says Jesus appeared to him again during one of the darkest moments of his life, rescuing him from despair and restoring his passion for Christ.

Today, Anthony serves as a missionary in Thailand, preaching the Gospel, teaching Scripture, and sharing the message God entrusted to him.
