My beautiful guest Melanie Churchwell (Episode 36: Jesus Appears and Delivers Message) has passed away. I put together this homemade video with some of her beautiful message highlights in her honor and for reflection and inspiration. Melanie was a warrior. She desperately wished to share the love of Jesus with the world and to help those around her see that they have seeds of greatness. She fought as hard as any human could fight against glioblastoma. During her trial she managed to be a blessing to those around her. We are grateful that God extended her time with us. Please join me in praying for her teenage daughter Pia and her family as they grieve. I pray they feel the peace that only Jesus can provide. Melanie is in the presence of her beautiful Savior and is experiencing this amazing love on an even higher level.

Details for arrangements: On Saturday, June 5, 2021, Melanie Aleta Churchwell, loving mother of Olympia (“Pia”) Churchwell, passed away peacefully at the age of 57. Melanie was born on Sunday, August 18, 1963. She was called to her heavenly home having graciously and courageously fought valiantly against Glioblastoma Multiforme for 27 months. Melanie loved her Lord fiercely, her daughter Pia immeasurably, and riding her Italian road bicycle (aptly named Marcello) with all the fury and strength that only she could offer. Melanie will be remembered as a ferociously dedicated mother, a strong-minded and loyal daughter, kind and tender sister, and a friend to many who were touched by her life. There has never been another quite like her and there never will be another Melly! Melanie was preceded in death by her mother, Judy, and her father, Tom. She is survived by her precious and dearly beloved daughter, Pia, her brother, Tom, (wife Michelle), nephews, Matthew and Mark, and her stepmother, LaDona. To honor her memory, a service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 7:00 PM in The Green Space at Athens Church which is located at 10 Huntington Road, Athens, GA 30606. Please bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the evening. *** There is an inclement weather plan so this is a rain or shine event. A second memorial service will be held at a later date in her beloved state of Colorado. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Pia’s college fund.
