Omar was raised in a devout Muslim family in Uganda. As the firstborn son, his father wanted him to become a strong Muslim leader who knew the Quran and could teach others. After years of Islamic schooling, Arabic studies, prayer, and devotion, Omar heard Christians preaching at an open-air evangelism meeting. Though he was warned not to listen, one conversation challenged him to read and search for himself. As he compared what he had been taught with the words of the Bible, Omar discovered the truth that changed his life: Jesus Christ is the peace, the light, and the eternal life he had been searching for.
