While serving as missionaries in Zambia, Gerard and his family faced every parent’s nightmare. Their two-year-old daughter was bitten by a wild dog infected with rabies. Because of other health issues, she had not yet been vaccinated.

If rabies developed during the three-month incubation period, it would mean certain death.

For three long months, Gerard and his family had to live with that reality.

In his personal testimony video, Gerard shares how this season became the greatest test of his faith and what it means to trust God when you have no control.
