#Apologetic #Islam #Answers The New Testament gives some facts about Jesus from the angel Gabriel, but the Qur’an gives contradictory facts about Jesus allegedly also from Gabriel. Who is right? Why do they contradict the first revelation? The New Testament declares that “God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” (1 Cor. 14:33) How can it be this Islamic Gabriel is so different and his message is so different than that in the Bible?

The apostle John warned about false prophets. “Dear friends, don’t believe everyone who claims to have the Spirit of God. Test them all to find out if they really do come from God. Many false prophets have already gone out into the world, and you can know which ones come from God.”(1 John 4:1-2)

How can this be? The apostle Paul gives some help in looking at the problem. Take a look at Paul’s writing to the Corinthians in which he speaks of false prophets and apostles.

“Those men are not true apostles—they are false apostles, who lie about their work and disguise themselves to look like real apostles of Christ. Well, no wonder! Even Satan can disguise himself to look like an angel of light! So it is no great thing if his servants disguise themselves to look like servants of righteousness. In the end they will get exactly what their actions deserve.” (2 Cor. 11:13-15)
