God calls some to build church fellowship buildings. He calls others to go to the mission field in far away places. Some are called to Pastor a church; others are called to teach the youth spiritual truths from the Holy Bible. Some are called to be prayer warriors, and some are called to fix a meal for a needy family, as a sampling of various calls from God. All Christians are called to minister in the work place, as God gives opportunity. Then God calls some to be “spiritual 911 rescue workers.” Steve and his wife, Cheryl, have been called to be spiritual 911 frontline soul rescue workers in the army of our Lord Jesus Christ. Rescuing the souls of down and outers, or as many call them: “The homeless - the street people - the poor.” People who sleep under bridges or wherever they can find a little shelter – people who seek a warm bed at a mission outreach, and often get turned away because there are no vacant beds for the night – people who aren’t sure where their next meal will be coming from. People who have given up dreaming big dreams … because every dream they ever had seemed to get shattered.

“What value,” some of society would ask, “Are the homeless - the street people - the poor?” To Steve and Cheryl and those who minister with them (and those ministering in like fashion all around the world - THANK YOU on behalf of JESUS!) … the soul of the street person – where that person will spend eternity upon dying – that person’s soul is every much of value as anyone else’s soul TO GOD. That includes your soul and my soul. NONE of us know what God will do with a person’s soul (and spirit) through eternity. And according to God’s Holy Scriptures, there are only two places for a soul to end up at once death sets in: Heaven or Hell. Steve and Cheryl labors to rescue souls from going to Hell. (As they are able, they also give them food and clothing to help meet their physical needs.) It’s the call God gives every Christian – helping rescue lost souls. Hopefully Steve’s story will challenge YOU to take more seriously the call God has for YOU to help reach lost souls (If you are a Christian). And if you aren’t right with Jesus Christ? Our hope is that the Holy Spirit will use Steve’s words to bring YOU into a spiritually born again salvation encounter with the God of the universe – the God who created YOU; the God who will judge (True Christians will be rewarded, not judged) each of us on the Judgment Day.
