Ed Tripp went to church, but he never really connected with God. There was no personal, intimate relationship between him and the Lord. Finding himself in prison, he now had a lot of time to think about his life up until then, and his conclusion? His life was a total mess! Everything he tried to do, it seemed, turned into one big mess. God is the MASTER of taking our messes, and turning them into one glorious MESSAGE for His glory, and it was in that lonely prison cell that Ed cried out to God: Lord If you can do anything with my mess I give it to you. That was the moment in time when Ed most likely became spiritually BORN AGAIN, in that he came to realize that God didn’t create any of us to be our own self-appointed Lord and King and Judge. He created each of us to make it our number one purpose in life to please HIM – not to try to figure out some angle to try to get Him to please US. That seems so simple, doesn’t it, but it sometimes takes a lot of pain and hardship to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ the ONE who Co-created us (Along with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit) the ONE who died on the Cross to pay full penalty for all of our sins. Friend - if you have never heard that God HIMSELF (in disguised human form) died on the Cross for ALL your sins the biggest favor you can do for yourself is to seek God as to WHY that is such a big deal. Exactly how BIG of a deal is it? Its the difference in where you will spend eternity. The Bible is very clear that there are only TWO options: Either we will spend eternity with God in heaven and experience eternal life and joy or we will spend eternity away from God’s presence, which will be hell, and we will spend it there for all eternity in eternal torment. Please don’t waste another moment being disconnected from your Creator, lost in your sins. He’s waiting for you with open arms to give you life, willing to not only forgive you, but to help YOU find purpose in your life as WELL that you will never discover any other way!
