I was born and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan—the daughter of an imam, surrounded by Islamic teachings and tradition. From a young age, I was taught that Islam was the only path, that questioning it was dangerous, and that leaving it was a crime worse than death. But everything changed the day I encountered Jesus Christ.

This is my full story—how I secretly gave my life to Jesus before the Taliban returned to power… how I prayed and fasted for months until my Muslim parents also came to Christ… and how the Taliban later discovered our faith, raided our home, and executed my mother and father in public—hanging their bodies from a tree to send a message. I barely escaped with my life.

For months, I lived in silence, crippled by guilt, anger, and grief. I asked God why He allowed such evil. I questioned everything. But in that dark place, Jesus met me again. Through a powerful dream, He spoke peace into my broken soul and reminded me: “You are alive for a reason.”

I now share this testimony, not for sympathy, but for truth. I want Muslims who are secretly searching to know: you are not alone. I want Christians in free countries to remember: your freedom is not to be wasted. And I want the world to hear: Jesus Christ is alive. He still saves. He still speaks. He is worth everything.
