Original youtube description:

There is safety in a multitude of counselors. (Proverbs 11:14)

Not just any counselor/individual who shares advice but one who values the TRUTH that brings freedom. (John 8:32)

Isolation is dangerous.

I’ve been there. When I was in a dark place, I didn’t have true, healthy friendships. I didn’t have the kind of friends the Bible talks about— “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” (Proverbs 27:6)

I was isolated, and in that isolation, I made some really bad decisions. In fact, I had a therapist who was not SAFE biblically. The therapist knew things by the “books” and recommended me things that were anti-Christ. One of the replacement behaviors she recommended was legit a HUGE open door to the demonic. I had an unsafe counselor and lots and lots of medications on top of over-the-counter drugs I popped frequently to numb the pain.

I’m not anti-medication, however, medication didn’t fix anxiety, panic attacks, and negative thoughts. That was a whole spiritual battle.

Depression didn’t just disappear with medication either. There was one that helped a little to the point where I could start praying for myself, but it wasn’t something I could stay on long-term. Eventually, I realized that the depression I was dealing with was spiritual.

Though I didn’t have healthy friendships during this time of my life, there was one person who saw what I couldn’t—my mom.

When she saw me with the wrong people, she didn’t just sit back. She prayed. She fasted. And let me tell you—those prayers worked. Those relationships died quickly because she went to war in the Spirit. (Matthew 17:21)

I’m still here – thank You Jesus. (Psalm 118:17)

You were never meant to do life alone. I’m praying that you get connected to a healthy, safe community. That God would shut every wrong door to community—anything that leads to manipulation, abuse, and deception—and open the right doors. (Revelation 3:7)

Some places take full advantage of people when they’re depressed. But God has real community for you. A place where you can heal. Where you can grow. Where you can experience transformation, direction, and family. If you’ve tried community before and it didn’t work out—try again. Let God heal you. Let Him replace all lies with truth. (Psalm 147:3) He has TRUE community for you. Trust Him.
