Depends which client you are using, some might not have implemented pinch to zoom yet :(
You can look at the /instances page for any instance you want. https://lemmy.ml/instances for example.
It’s because the remote instance is getting hugged, or is on an older version. You can try unsubscribing and resubscribing which also sometimes helps.
60,000 users is also a LOT for a Lemmy instance. They’ve gone from ~8,000 to 60k+ in a matter of weeks. I’m sure there will be many performance and efficiency improvements coming soon. Hopefully people spread out a bit more across other instances with less users!
Yeah likewise and this has been pretty great.
I’m from Australia, where we don’t tip; and yes; you have to in America. It’s likely that the person serving you needs tips to survive, so think of it as money for them directly. (even tho in most cases I don’t think they get 100%?) I make a point of not tipping at home because people should get paid a living wage without having to rely on tips. I say you’d be the asshole because customer service employees in USA need that extra money to make ends meet.
The issue is getting access to your account and figuring out how to “reccomend” communities. The way reddt etc do it is by analyzing other user data, which I don’t have. Perhaps we could manually tag communities somehow. 🤔
I made https://lemmyverse.net for this reason 😊
Cool, thanks for the redirects! :)
Hot and active has improved a LOT in the latest RC release, should be coming to an instance near you soon™
Is it possible for an author to change the NSFW tag on a post after the fact? Maybe thats what happened, it’s explain the slow federation for the edit.
