Maybe something like voting “funny” or “useful” etc. like in Steam reviews. That could also help with the meme response sorting problem.

The problem with downvotes is they’re supposed to be used to push irrelevant things down and bring forward the “productive conversation”, but…
…it’s easier to use them as an “I disagree with you, get lost loser” button, and I feel like that doesn’t usually help the discussion. And upvotes already bring up the good comments (although sometimes the most voted stuff is just memes and you miss the interesting stuff).
Doesn’t that go against Lemmy’s philosophy? I see where you’re coming from, and I agree there should be some way to find all related communities. But putting them all under the same umbrella makes all depend on the “meta-community” and its administration.
I bought FL Studio back in 2017 and have received free updates since then.
Meanwhile, most other software companies: “nooo, you can’t own the software, you have to pay for a subscription and you can’t keep using it when it’s over! Also if you want updates you have to pay for the premium subscription”

I’m allergic… it’s going to be unpleasant.
Is chilli considered basic? Spicy food is not that common where I live. For me the basics would be to know how to:
-Peel and cut veggies
-Boil stuff
-Fry eggs
But maybe it’s a cultural thing! I’m interested in knowing what you’re doing with your chilli peppers ;)
