West of Loathing and its sequel Shadows of Loathing have a bland grayscale artstyle on the outside but they’re absolutely hilarious RPGs that have a lot of heart to them.
I have had some people refuse to even try Baba Is You, because it looks ugly.
Oh come on, the art style is charming!
Could you mention what apps you needed to run?
I don’t remember which they were exactly but some Adobe products were some of them. Specifically Illustrator.
Also, fractional scaling has been improved a lot in Gnome and KDE, afaik.
I hope so. I’ve last been on Linux like ~2 years ago and I’ve heard some good changes.
A few apps I needed didn’t work on Linux without a hassle and a lot of games I play with friends only run on Windows. I also found a lot of things were kind of a hassle on Linux, especially screen scaling. Fractional screen scaling straight up barely works and everything on my laptop screen was usually tiny.
I would totally go back when the experience is a bit nicer, I’m pretty frustrated with Windows. I think the Linux desktop experience isn’t totally ready imo.
No Schweppes? For shame.
Also, cheers to my milk tea brethren.
Don’t know if it counts but I hate my alarm so much that I sometimes wake up 1 minute before it triggers.
Some kind of door knocker?
Literally nobody has ever said this lol
Liftoff has been the best experience for me.
Not sure. I think videos would be very expensive on the servers so I wouldn’t expect it anytime soon. For now I hope they’d just add better embedding support so you can watch videos without leaving the website.
Nope. You can just link to external videos though, I’d suggest Streamable if you need to upload something quick.
Lemmy.world has the most active users I believe
Some people want to follow Reddit content without opening it. You can block the bot posting these if it’s annoying. I did that and never saw it again.
Extraction 2, but there wasn’t much competition because I only saw 2 movies this month.
Kung Pow. It’s so bad it loops back to being good.
Extraction 2 was a lot of fun. The story was kind of a predictable action movie but man, the camerawork and stuntwork was superb.
Definitely better. I tried getting into Lemmy about a year ago and it was kind of a miserable place. Most communities were abandoned and the website was less usable than now, the only active group were tankies (specifically CCP lovers). There just wasn’t any demand for a Reddit alternative. I abandoned Lemmy and went back to Reddit not long after.
Now the website feels sooooo much livelier and is a much nicer place. The community isn’t huge but it feels like the content I need to find is here, and as people settle in specific communities activity is going up! Once Lemmy fixes their bugs and Kbin fixes their federation I’m confident I won’t want to go back to other websites.
You should give it a shot, it’s pretty fun and West of Loathing isn’t that long to finish.
