I use Flym (Android). It’s not being developed anymore unfortunately but on the other hand it was left in a very good state and it’s perfectly usable with lots of good features. I especially like the built-in feed search, it’s very good and 9 out of 10 times it will find the feed you want and you can add it directly. Beats the hell out of poking around websites trying to find if they have a feed and where it might be.

MP are a way to pay very small sums (a cent or a fraction of a cent) when you visit a webpage, and to make it as painless as possible for both the visitor and the website. It adds up to the same earnings for websites but introduces human oversight (you decide if the page you want to visit is worth that fraction of a cent) and most importantly gets rid of the ad plague.

Yeah. A better way to describe Mastodon “migration” would be to call it account linking, or account forwarding. Each time you make a new account on a different instance you leave behind directions to the current one. Kind of like migrating your email account and leaving the old address to “forward” stuff to the new one.

I agree that it’s a much cleaner system than attempting to actually move content around.

Face recognition ability in humans varies wildly, unfortunately. And that’s without making it harder with face paint. Regular people can get completely fooled by simple things like glasses on/off or a different hairstyle (turns out Clark Kent was on to something after all).
