“Have these gentlemen ever seen a revolution? A revolution is certainly the most authoritarian thing there is; it is the act whereby one part of the population imposes its will upon the other part by means of rifles, bayonets and cannon”

There’s an app on f-Droid, there’s an app on the Linux app store (Pls don’t get mad at the name, i switched to Linux less than a month ago) that’s as much as I need, I don’t own a “smart” TV, I don’t own a car with an iPad, my fridge is dumb so the only screens I need supported are the Linux pc and the phone, and those screens are supported.
Jellyfin, it’s literally free Netflix if you own even just an old computer and some storage. Also open source that is another huge plus

It was 2 years ago now and fortunately didn’t need surgery, it was 12 days of pain I can tell you that, couldn’t even get up from bed most of the times, even small things like changing position in bed or going to take a piss hurted soooo bad and you need to plan every little move.
I had a pilonidal cyst once, the most painful thing I ever experienced, also the one who smelled the worst when it popped, according to a doctor it smells exactly like a corpse
I’ve made a paradoxextra community on lemmy.ml, for who’s interested
You should be able to repair your own things, without too much money and effort
I’m from central Italy, in my city temperatures regularly reach 40 degrees in August. With the recent heatwave we reached it in mid July, I cope by being indoors and locking myself in with AC on and drinking ice cold water, and when I can (and I fortunately can afford so) going on vacation in colder, still close, places, something like Abruzzo or Molise if you know central Italy.
