Of course. That’s not what we’re talking about?
Use case? Just wanting to group together certain topics. Grouping together all the duplicate communities that have the same focus as well.
Use case is obvious.
Making a ton of accounts for each topic is not a good solution.
Any solution that holds both together… is not really a 2fa solution imo.
I just use a keepass vault and KeePassium (Strongbox is also great) after deciding I don’t trust Authy.
Biggest advantage over Authy for me is that I control the data and that the solution is open source.
Vault is synced locally with syncthing but a vault on a cloud drive requiring a key file that is local is also a good option.
Backups are easy. KeePassXC can be used on the desktop for totp.
Vault is not kept with my password vault.
Sure. But I wouldn’t trust closed source software for passwords. Personal decision.
Only ones I trust that are open sourced and have some kind of audit.
I use Linux and flatpaks so XC is the obvious choice for me - much nicer to use across platforms that aren’t a windows and only one available as a flatpak. Nicer interface. Supports TOTP codes (all I use it for, Bitwarden for passwords). More active development.
I use KeePassium on iOS with the same vault.
There’s only two real choices imo.
Bitwarden or Keepass (KeePassXC for desktop, you’ll need one of many app choices for your phone).
Keepass you would sync to your own cloud provider and use a key file for protection.
Bitwarden is the obvious answer that fits all your criteria.
