Must’ve been to my teen son.
Must’ve been to my teen son.
Just block the meme communities and it makes this place a much more engaging site. There’s obviously not the same level as reddit yet, but with time it will get there.
I think this is a terribly disheartening quote. It’s very true. But it’s sad that there’s basically zero hope for us as a people to come together to do great things that benefit our species and the others trapped on this planet with us. We’re doomed to a future of selfishness and violence
I keep bouncing between this one and Jerboa. I like Liftoff a little more, as it’s easier to handle multiple instances and accounts, but I wish that it had mod tools so I wouldn’t have to go my communities in the browser or PC to do anything mod related.
Wow, that’s so stupid. Wonder which politician that regulation benefited.
I haven’t been to Costco in Texas, what’s wrong with them?
I love their tech slacks. $15 for basically Lululemon abc pants.
Kirkland signature wine and spirits (and tons of other Kirkland brand stuff). Not necessary better, but it’s so much cheaper and so close to quality that it’s a bit brainer to buy it over more expensive stuff. Plus,on a lot of instances the Kirkland signature is made by big companies and rebranded as Kirkland.
Same with me. Made it even worse Thay I gave my son my overwatch account when we switched to 2 and it would’ve cost me a years salary to get them all back lol
Overwatch was it for me. Loved the game for the first couple of years, then Blizzard did typical Blizzard things and it’s a disgusting pile of micro (macro) transaction shit now. I hate the battle pass format so many games are trying to incorporate now.
I’m also in the US and the only thing I fear about the government is that they will continue to fail to put our best interests over corporate greed. It’s a given at this point, but still disappointing.
Nope. I think the idea of a soul, afterlife comes from humans deep seated need to be special. We’re just animals, enjoy your life while you can.
You seen to have posted to the wrong asklemmy post. The one you’re looking for was about being more active.
Yeah I’m easy more active here that on Reddit, though I was very active when Reddit was younger. It just got too big and lost that feeling of taking to actual people and contributing to the overall experience.
Just got back from Canada and I had the same experience. The workers were really friendly, but everyone else was kind of assholes. Felt like I was back in LA with everyone having their head up their own asses. Shocked me cause I always hear how friendly Canadians are.
And the food is super bland, but the country is gorgeous and the weather was great
Wearing camo and American flag shit in public. Honestly just having American flags on anything now pretty much is the same as that read hat
Using Fedora 38 right now. Good stuff
Collecting AOL CDs to get free minutes. Downloading risque photos on 56k and having your mom pick up the phone and kill your download halfway through. Fun times.
Early chat rooms were really fun, everything was fresh and people were excited with all of the potential and there was no overwhelming corporate bullshit.
My whims are as shifting as the winds, so whatever I’m obsessed with at the time. Mountain bikes? Hell yes! Photography equipment? Sign me up! New telescope? I’d love one! New fragr6indont need? Yup!
The list is never ending unfortunately
I buy lots of
That’s what I do, but they were mentioning that they wanted to browse all, but the memes were ruining it for them. I’m usually on all so I can keep an eye out for new communities to join
