Honestly you may benefit from a cloud system that can put old images into cold storage when they go unaccessed for more than a few days

I am aware. I was just correcting the one thing not disagreeing as a whole
If their tips don’t pass the actual minimum wage, the employer is required to pay the difference up to the minimum.
It’s bad, full stop, even if you expect it
We don’t have a VAT in the US, only sales tax. It’s not just a name difference, they’re different in how they’re applied
I use Telegram personally, but that doesn’t meet your requirements probably
Boarder
I can assure you that is not the case. If an instance has any amount of users, ad revenue can be huge. It may be a couple bucks a month per user, but if you have a thousand users, that’s enough to pay for servers and then some.
The real issue comes with the requirement for more heavy moderation, if you bring in advertising.
I’d be surprised if the donations cover the cost of the servers. It’s pretty much run entirely on the goodwill of the server owner
Lemmings makes more sense to be the users
They said wrong answers only
I think this underestimates how users will naturally gravitate towards more centralized instances, or they’ll give up because the bigger instances are closed. Someone’s gotta pay for it, and it’s going to cost more than a Netflix subscription. Servers aren’t cheap.
This also ignores that the system isn’t horizontally scalable at all, so scaling up gets even more expensive
That and better spam filtering. It’s fine now, but it’ll get bad once they catch on
Unfortunately the only alternative for some things are becoming very tech literate and running an objectively worse mediocre open source software
Yeah agreed. There are a ton of minor inconveniences all over Jerboa, but it’s “fine” I guess.
I’m going to be flattened. Honestly there are worse ways to go.
It can often take longer to get what you want out of it than it would’ve to have just drawn it. I’ve spent 8 or 9 hours fiddling with inputs and settings for a piece and it still didn’t come out as good as it would have if I had commissioned an artist.
I’ve been using it to get “close” then using it as a reference when commissioning things
