Jup, I have the same ability. Even in big, unknown cities I almost always find my way back. It’s almost like it’s saved in 3D in my brain.

I also always know where north is, even inside a building.

Even the alpha I bought back in the day needed an account. That was before M$. They then migrated my account a while after they were acquired. So short answer is probably ‘no’ as you always needed an account.
