Snaps are proprietary to Canonical (Ubuntu). Historically, they were larger, slower to load, and generally slower overall to use With a good SSD and system, I’m not sure that’s the case anymore though.
I ate all the food. Sorry.

Most major distributions come with a software center of some kind. And with Flatpaks, AppImages, and gag Snaps, it pretty much is just click and install these days.
Depends. I work from home. That said, technically, it’s recommended to brush before because the stuff in toothpaste is meant to protect your teeth. But yes, if I were going out and about into the world, after. 😂
Twice a day (sometimes three). Once when I wake up, before breakfast/coffee (but might get pushed til after on occasion), and once before bed, every day. A third time might be in the middle of a day before heading out somewhere if my mouth feels like it needs it, especially if I’ve eaten something with garlic (etc).
Android (stock, for now) on a Pixel 6. As for why, I’m the “weirdo” in the peer group that uses Linux and Lemmy, so why wouldn’t it track that I’d be the one messing up video quality on group texts with my green bubble?
I think it’s coincidence. I used my main email address and have the same amount of junk, spam, scams, and phishing crap as usual.
Spez is doubling down. He’s shown his hand. He’s lied. It’s like watching Anakin’s descent to the dark side. He’s too far gone.
I don’t really think there is a going back. The watering hole is poisoned. There’s no more good faith. And, I think for a lot people, especially people here, it’s a matter of principle at this point.
I might check in on certain niche subs that don’t move on to other platforms, but the days of gleefully doomsctolling are over.
Had a Mastodon account years ago (whenever the radical.town instance was a thing). But I never used it because I never used Twitter. Made an account on an instance for music and that I’ll actually use here recently with the Twitter stuff. Then joined kbin and Lemmy to check them out shortly after with everyone else during all the commotion.
I had a general idea of the Fediverse, how it worked, and some of the platforms on it (Friendica, etc), but never really got into it til earlier this year.
