Wow! That’s another thing I learned from QI recently. Great fact though, and nice to see it mentioned here 🙂

Well old memes are so hot on Lemmy right now…
They’re all good distros
Bront
I learned this fr QI recently. Great piece of trivia!
I have been using Connect for a while and really like it, but I’ll be trying out Liftoff for a bit now, I think it looks smooth!
I use Nvidia as well, and has had very little trouble with it on POP.
Edit: a letter.
I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. If you are drawn towards Manjaro because you’re interested in Arch Linux, I would recommend trying EndeavourOS.
I haven’t used EndeavourOS much for gaming. How is your experience gaming on EndeavourOS?
If the person who recommended you Manjaro is close by (say, a room mate) and will help you if it breaks, then by all means go for it. I used it for about a year and found it quite prone to breaking, which usually wasn’t fatal, but was quite annoying after a while. If it’s your first Linux distro and you don’t have a friendly support guy close by, I’d recommend you look around a bit more.
EndeavourOS on my laptop, Pop!_OS on my gaming PC.
Yeah, give it a go! There are a couple of other apps for Lemmy already and a couple of others in development( I think the Reddit apps Boost and Sync are coming to Lemmy soon) so if Connect doesn’t fulfill your needs, maybe one of the other ones will.
Since I switched to Connect for Lemmy, I’m really liking it. I found Jerboa to be a bit unintuitive, which is a reminder of how much a third-party app can mean for the enjoyment of a platform and why people have so strong feelings about their Reddit app of choice that they’re willing to leave the platform if that app doesn’t work anymore. I don’t know if I’d have kept trying to get into Lemmy if I hadn’t found Connect.
You’ve triple posted this comment…
I liked to browse /r/cd_collectors and /r/fragrance
I liked seeing /r/witchesVSpatriarchy on /r/All, but I never really followed them.
Edit: spelling.
I’ve visited a couple of times. My preferred app (relay) is still working, but I’m guessing I’ll jump ship completely once relay is affected, Lemmy has mostly replaced my Reddit habits anyway.
