You could have just left it there. If you have that much of a problem with the word thesis maybe you’re the one who shouldn’t take things so literally. If you have a problem with how this went, maybe you should not make false statements or let it go earlier.

Nobody claimed what they said was wrong. The thesis is that it may be misleading (through omission of the second half of what it does).

Is it original? That depends on the context. What do you ask about, in what context? Where is it placed? Which AI? How was it trained? How does it replicate?

If someone generates an image, it is original in that narrow context - between them and the AI.

Is the AI producing originals, original interpretations, original replications, or only transforming other content? I don’t think you can make a general statement on that. It’s too broad, unspecific of a question.

They accept it when you trained on data you had the right to [train and republish on]. That isn’t limited to only your own content.

It’s not wrong to start with whatever / at random. Once you gain some experience you can decide whether to pursue or try something else.

For me it came naturally from my interests and learned capabilities.

You can ask about and try out different jobs to get a bit of insight and more data points for making a decision. Even if you won’t have a definite favorite you may find things you consider undesired or desirable for you.

The 2 minute rule:

Do right away what only takes two or less minutes.

Extension to it:

Do something for two minutes. (Starting is the hardest part.) May work better with 5 or 10 depending on the task.

If you consciously skip the 2 minute rule, embrace life’s absurdity, be positively accepting towards yourself, your skip or inability or incapability.
