Clearly I’m using the wrong motor, I though I had calculated it out but apparently when it’s under load (the mobile part) it heats up to the point that it melted the hot glue holding it in place. Not great, how do I rectify this?

Video of the motor working

Here’s the assembly, that’s a three AA battery pack

If anyone has any idea of what motor could handle this or what math I’m not calculating for I would really appreciate it

Might actually go for 25 RPM after seeing a visual representation of what that looks like, otherwise even at this speed the cats just kind of sat there getting whacked in the face. If I get a 25RPM motor is it a guarantee that’s the speed it’ll be or is there some variables with the load?

I’m sorry, but I giggled at the thought of a poor cat just getting smacked in the face with a feathery toy at high speed and it just being all “whuh???”

You’re right to giggle, they stand there all confused until it gets to like 4 bops and finally decide to get out of there.

They’re dumb but we love them.
